their preferred shaving setting (gentle or aggressive) by simply turning the dial on the shaver. Due to its adjustable fine-tuning mechanism and superior build quality, it provides an adaptable shave. Perfect for both wet shaving beginners and experts. The Muramasa adapts to your skin and hair, but is also perfect for a quick shave if you need a more forgiving setting or if your mood simply demands something new. For every skin and hair type After several prototypes, we achieved the perfect balance between the configuration of each level. The very gentle setting on level 1 is ideal for more sensitive skin or shorter facial hair. Perfect for moving away from cartridge razors or if you prefer a smoother shave. For more experienced shavers, or when dealing with larger, curlier facial hair, our top setting has greater clearance and greater blade exposure for a closer shave. If you want to fine-tune between levels, that is also possible. Patented adjustable sliding base plate system Muramasa's unique blade exposure adjustment, made possible by the sliding base plate system, provides: Simultaneous adjustment of blade gap and blade exposure Wide adjustment range (5 levels, preset levels with intermediate adjustment) No need for “wear” parts like springs Quick adjustment without disassembling the razor How it works The Muramasa razor is composed of a system of adjustable sliding base plates that provides strong support to the blade and quick adjustment of blade exposure (BE) and blade clearance (BG). As you turn the dial, it will move the base plates together/apart from the razor head, changing the contact point between the blade and the user's skin. This means a difference in BG and BE at the same time. A numbered window will show the level setting you are at as you turn the dial. Superior manufacturing 316L stainless steel To ensure maximum performance and longevity, all parts are made of solid material and CNC machined from marine grade AISI 316L stainless steel. Our experience with CNC machines allows us to achieve incredible levels of precision, with tolerances as fine as 0,02 mm. This ensures minimal friction and wear of all parts, providing durability and contributing to the safe use of Muramasa. No bulky heads Thanks to our simple and efficient patent-pending mechanism, we manage to keep the head dimension to a minimum. The result is a beautiful razor that can reach any part of the face, even the trickiest areas around the nose and mouth. To improve user safety, we also cover the blade tabs to prevent cuts during shaving and when changing the blade. The handle is designed with a twisted dimple pattern that enlarges towards the head of the knife for better grip while showcasing the concept of an adjustable knife. The compact design was developed to prevent blade noise and blade chatter to ensure safe and efficient performance in all environments. The large contact area that supports the blade between the cap and the base plate is one of the most important features of our razors. It ensures that the blade does not vibrate during shaving, providing the smoothest shave possible and ultimately preventing blade noise and blade chatter that cause nicks and cuts. Each piece is finished by hand. The 7 Muramasa pieces are hand finished and sandblasted, piece by piece. Through this process, we achieve a smoother bronze matte appearance, smoothed edges, and eliminate CNC machining marks. The numbered piece on the Muramasa dial is inspired by the date window of the analog watch and is coated with dark PVD to allow a better view of the number setting. Elegant and sustainable packaging Your razor will be proudly and beautifully packaged in a natural cork box, covered by a textured linen cardboard box marked with our gold logo and sealed with a magnet. Cork is the bark of the cork oak, which means it is 100% natural plant tissue and is the only wood you can obtain without cutting down the tree. It is a unique raw material from the Alentejo region, in Portugal. The key The way we build Muramasa allows for easy maintenance. One rinse after use is sufficient for your cleaning needs. No nooks and crannies, no hinges, no clutter.
